Crafted in Paso Robles, California using only the best, natural ingredients from the central coast of California, Leo Leo Gelato was founded in 2010 by Niccolo Lekai. They specialize in producing over 24 rotating flavors of Italian inspired frozen desserts using milk from Cal Poly, as well as other locally grown ingredients. Niccolo has been obsessed with gelato since he was a boy. It wouldn’t be until he got a job working for a gelato shop in San Diego that he would find the inspiration to start his own gelato wholesale business.
After having received a degree in business administration and marketing during the recession and in a tough job market, it felt fitting for him to pursue a career in the food industry, an area he is passionate about. He decided to jump right in with both feet and has been in business with Leo Leo for 14 years.
